Small batches
Each piece is cut and sewn individually — usually no more than six of any one thing. When it's gone, it's gone (or I make you a custom one).

A few of the fabrics on the cutting table this month.
Each piece is cut and sewn individually — usually no more than six of any one thing. When it's gone, it's gone (or I make you a custom one).
Linen, cotton, hemp and deadstock fabric. No polyester blends, no mystery materials — just cloth that breathes and softens with washing.
Extra buttons, spare thread and mending instructions ship with every order. A well-loved tote should outlive its first owner.

Made just for you
Want a tote in a specific fabric? A baby blanket in your nursery colors? A set of napkins for a wedding gift? Tell me what you're imagining — I'll sketch it up and quote you before anything gets cut.
Kind words
The market tote is my daily bag now. The linen has softened beautifully and the stitching is impeccable — you can tell someone cared.
I ordered a baby blanket in our nursery colors and it arrived wrapped in tissue with a handwritten note. Already planning my next order.
The apron fits perfectly and the pockets are actually useful. Karin even sent spare thread. Highly recommend.

About Karin Joyce
I learned to sew from my grandmother at her kitchen table, and never really stopped. After years of sewing for friends (and their friends, and their friends' friends), I opened Home Crafts by Karin in 2021.
Everything is made in my home studio in Arlington — usually with a podcast on and a cat on the fabric. I cut each piece by hand, sew it on a 1970s Bernina that I will never replace, and finish every edge so it lasts.
If you ever want to see a piece in person before buying, just ask. The door's open, the kettle's on.
